As we diligently navigate towards a safe re-opening of club amenities, new cleaning protocols are required for the “new normal”.
The Ice Machine is scheduled for re-opening this evening; however, before reopening, a thorough disinfection going beyond dust and dirt removal is being completed, Rest assured that we are doing everything possible to facilitate a safe re-opening.
If an individual coughs or sneezes into their hand and touches the bin door, bin scoop, or the ice supply itself, they can transfer the Covid virus onto the surface. From there, the disease could be transferred to the next user or into a member’s drink.
Please abide by the following tips to enable us to safely re-open this vital amenity, and keep it open:
Wash/sanitize hands before using the ice machine – There is a hand sanitizing station near the ice machine, please sanitize your hands after every use. This makes it easier for staff to keep the area sanitary and decrease the chances of contamination.
Always wear facial covering
Always keep the ice bin door closed when ice is not being used
Always use an ice scoop to dispense ice. Do not scoop using glassware.
Store the ice scoop outside of the bin in the sanitizing bucket provided (a mixture of 2 tsp chlorine bleach per gallon of water).
This ice should not be used in drinks (not potable) due to the scoop being stored in chlorinated water, and generally because of Covid-19 precautions.
