Guidelines for Guests

We are happy to have guest sailors participate in the Austin Yacht Club events and activities.
Here are some guidelines and information we want guests to know.

  • Parents are responsible for your children’s behavior and safety. This includes AYC grounds, docks, pool or lake (there is no lifeguard on duty).
  • Skateboards and drones are prohibited on site.
  • Fireworks and firearms are prohibited on site. Picnic fires shall be built only in authorized and designated areas.
  • Please do not bring your pets to AYC.
  • Unregistered vehicles should not be brought on site.
  • Please there is no smoking, vaping, or using smokeless tobacco inside all AYC facilities, including clubhouse, office, cabins, and bathrooms.
  • Please refrain from tying up your boat to the launching side of our board boat docks (blocking small boats stored on the docks).
  • Please do not tie boats to T-heads or rigging docks overnight without permission from Harbor Commander or AYC General Manager.
  • Please place all trash from events in trash or recycling receptacles.
  • To prevent invasive species, please clean your bilges and trailers when coming from another lake, and when leaving lake Travis. This includes sailboats, motorboats, and kayaks.   Also see https://www.texasinvasives.org/
Accommodations

AYC has limited accommodations on site for guests, these are booked through the AYC website up to 6 months in advance:

  • 2 RV parking areas with water, electric and one with a sewer pump out.
  • 4 cabins with AC/heat, 2 queen beds, bath with shower and kitchenette.
  • 1 cabin with 2 queen beds, bath with shower, no kitchenette.
  • Screened in porches .
  • Tent camping in areas on the lake side of cabins @ $0/ night.
