Patrick Hitchins sailing a J/24 narrowly defeated John Bartlett in a J/80 to win the McCollum cup trophy at today’s Redeye Regatta. Hitchins eked out his win by 40 seconds in a tight race between the two J boats. George Dahmen was 3rd in an Ensign. The boats represented the best spinnaker times in the three separate classes which were then corrected for different distances sailed.
